2025 Canada Day Parade Application

The parade will take place Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 3:00PM SHARP! Parade marshaling begins at 2:00 PM at A.K. Wigg School, 1337 Haist Street, Fonthill. There will be washroom facilities available.

• Parade position will be assigned based on registration date and special considerations required
• Parade ends at the Pelham Evangelical Friends Church parking lot, across from Harold Black Park. Do not stop at Harold Black Park entrance. Please continue down Haist St to the church.
• DO NOT STOP ON THE STREET AT THE END OF THE PARADE. Please disburse in parking area for safety reasons
•  Each float in the parade will be judged by the Town of Pelham community. Prizes will be awarded to the top three floats that best capture and celebrate the true spirit of Canada. Voting will close on July 7th. 

NOTE: During an election year, the Town of Pelham Corporate Policy S201-11 will be in effect.

Waiver and Release

I/We hereby acknowledge and agree that:

• It is my/our responsibility to ensure the safe and proper conduct of the Parade Entry that is the subject of this application (“the Parade Entry”), including all vehicles and participants;
• It is my/our responsibility to ensure that any vehicles used in the parade must have proof of valid insurance and all drivers must have a valid Ontario Driver’s license.
• It is my/our responsibility to arrange liability and property damage insurance coverage for the Parade Entry and the participation of all participants in the Canada Day Parade;
• There are risks inherent in participating in the Canada Day Parade, including but not limited to personal injury and property damage;
• I/we have made all participants in the Parade Entry aware of these risks;
• On behalf of all participants in the Parade Entry, I/we accept and voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in the Canada Day Parade;
• On behalf of all participants in the Parade Entry, I/we waive any right to sue the Corporation of the Town of Pelham and its staff, elected officials and/or representatives for any and all claims arising from or in any way related to participation in the Canada Day Parade;
• On behalf of all participants in the Parade Entry, I/we release and forever discharge the Corporation of The Town of Pelham and its staff, elected officials and/or representatives from any and all claims arising from or in any way related to participation in the Canada Day Parade; and
• I/we agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Corporation of the Town of Pelham and its staff, elected officials and representatives from any and all claims arising from or in any way related to the Parade Entry and/or the conduct of the participants in relation to the Canada Day Parade.
